Rural Family Childcare Centres
GMOA, with the help of a local partner, has established a number of centres in small rural villages in the state of Tamil Nadu, Southern India.
Our Family Childcare Centres assist the local communities in educating and feeding children from the poorest families.
- The children attend the local government schools, which are often overcrowded.
- Our Centres provide physical, educational and spiritual nourishment through nutritious feeding, tutoring from qualified teachers and spiritual input every morning, as well as after school on school days.
- GMOA provides each child with school uniforms, books and clothing, along with practical assistance and counselling for the neediest families.
- Medical check-ups are carried out annually. These include general health, dental and eye testing, and skin clinic, with follow-up treatment.
